” Oppenheimer” is one of the most expected motion pictures of the year and opens in theatres on July 21. As part of promotional interviews of the film, Murphy moreover mentioned that he study the scripture to prepare himself for the role. “I did study the Bhagavad Gita throughout preparation, and I thought it was an truly amazing text, very inspiring. Undoubtedly it’s based on American theoretical physicist and scientist, J. Robert Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer is the latest work of British-American filmmaker Christopher Nolan. He selected Irish actor Cillian Murphy for featuring as Oppenheimer who has a Bhagavad Gita connection.

In this biographical thriller, Murphy performs the role of theoretical physicist and scientist , J. Robert Oppenheimer. This distinguished scientist of America is credited as the “father of the atomic bomb.”

Christopher Nolan (Universal Pictures by means of AP) has written and directed this film ” . Oppenheimer was a genius scientist in America in the first half of twentieth Century. His works and studies was mainly in Quantum Physics, although he was interested in all subjects.

However, he served as director of the Los Alamos Laboratory in the United States during World War II. It is famous by the name ‘Manhattan Project’which aimed at harnessing nuclear power in 1942.

After multiple studies and experiments, the assignment led to the test of the world’s first atomic bomb in 1945. Its code-name is ‘Trinity. They preferred Trinity site in the New Mexico desert. And tested it successfully which is marked as the beginning of the atomic age.

One of the the scene of the film has brought on a lot of controversy. This short scene may also be very vital in the film, however many Hindus feel it is insulting to them. Many people have also claimed that the interpretation of the music in this scene is not correct.

In 1965, the documentary ‘The Decision to Drop the Bomb’by NBC was launched. This documentary was featured on Oppenheimer. There they mentioned his instant feelings following the successful conduct of the test, which stays a matter of intense debate and controversy to this date.
