Sea Beach of Digha and Hotels near Sea Beach

Santa, my better-half and me generally very interested in outing. We have toured so many places in India. It’s from Himalaya to Cape Comerin. We, Bengalee call it as Kanyakumari. It’s the last place or demographic area of India.

But unfortunately we couldn’t able to roam anywhere almost 8 years due to my daughter education and service she occupied. Recently she settled in marriage life with a young chap who is by profession an engineer.

That means, we are free. There is no obligation in respect of social duties. So we decided to visit a Sea Beach near our home. The distance of Digha from my home about 350 kms by Train.

We started at 11.30 am and our train time was 1.00 am. Train came at Durgapur Railway station at the right time. We reserved AC compartment. So the journey was very comfortable and co-passengers were very friendly.

We reached Digha arround 10.30 pm. There we stayed in retiring room. It was previously was being booked my daughter, Sumedha. Well furnished room. So no problem for spending night. The Best “Unique Europe” Tour for an Elderly couple

Nextday we came to visit the sea early in the morning. There we found that people from others provinces came there with their families and friends.

Digha Town/ City is in East Midnapore, West Bengal. Midnapore district has been splitted during Cheap Minister, Mamata Banerjee’s time. Contai/ Kanthi is a sub-divisional town, Where great writer and the pioneer of Bengali novel, Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay spent a long time as a Deputy Magistrate. Perhaps he wrote one of his best novels”Kapal Kundalini” there.

I feel proud to see that place when returning to Kamarpukur, the birth place of Holy Sree Ramkrishna. Previously I didn’t visit that place. So it’s new demographic area to me.
