Eventually Our Prime Minister installed this in the new Parliament building to bring peace and harmony to the building. The “Pengal” is made up of bronze and gold, and it has been installed at the back of Speaker’s sit, which is the first thing that MPs see when they enter the building.
Moreover, the new Parliament building has been designed by world-renowned architect Bimal Patel, and it has been constructed by Tata group. The building has been constructed over an area of around 64,500 sqm, and it has been constructed at a cost of around Rs. 971 crore.

According to company sources, it took 1 million hours to make carpets for Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Over 300 artisan rugs are known to have been created by artisans during this period.

Later a large carpet is made by sewing. This carpet covers approximately 35,000 square feet of floor space in each room.

Tata Group won the tender for the construction of the new Parliament building. According to the information available from the official website of Central Vista, Rs 862 crore was initially allocated for the construction of the new Parliament building.
But, in 2021, the government said in a reply in the Lok Sabha, the cost of this project has increased to 971 crores. But this is not the first time, after this the allocation of the project has been increased. According to a report published by NDTV in January 2022, the budget of the project has increased to 1250 crores. 26 thousand 45 metric tons of steel, 63 thousand 807 metric tons of cement were used in the construction of the new parliament building.
