” There can be no rainbow without a cloud and storm.”

Tears and smile make the music of life.”

The Solicitude: its merits and demerits:

Do you know what is the solicitude: its merits and demerits? Let’s learn it. Suppose a Funeral pyre and worried mind – which is more devastating, if it’s asked, then you can say that a worried mind is more fatal than a funeral fire.

Because the dead body is to be burnt in a funeral pyre according to Hindu rituals. This body did not feel any pain as and when there is no consciousness in the body and mind. Though death is a kind of detachment or solicitude.

So worried mind continuously burns one’s sensitive body and mind. It ruins our dreams, our emotions. It sticks and hampers our day to day activities.

Not only that, It mars bit by bit our life too. Ultimately, we have to lose our trust in life. We become a victim of negative thoughts. Then we need to have a solicitude environment to enhance ourselves.

People who are facing a longtime depression, disorders in mind, their lives are more painful than death. The worried mental state is a condition of disease.

What does it face?

The affected person having lost his or her hunger, strength, sleep, intelligence, and trust in life, and turns into a deadly man. Mainly, they like to live in a isolated environment. Again, sometimes they won’t stay alone.

Today’s discussion is about the Solicitude: its merits and demerits. What is solicitude? How many types of solicitude? What’s its health effects?

The Solicitude is a state of seclusion or isolation, i.e., lack of contact with people. It can have both positive and negative effects, depending on the situation.

Short-term solitude is often valued as a time when one may work, think or rest without being disturbed. Sometimes we desire it for the sake of privacy.

Causes Behind the Solicitude

Undesirable long-term solicitude may stem from various causes: Like ….. 1. soured relationships, 2. loss of loved ones, 3. deliberate choice, 4. infectious disease,  5. mental disorders,   6.neurological disorders, 7. circumstances of employment or situation.

Solicitude Vs Loneliness

There is a distinction between solicitude and loneliness. In this sense, these two words refer, respectively, to the joy and the pain of being alone.

Health effects:

Symptoms from complete isolation, called sensory deprivation. It may include anxiety , sensory illusion, or distortions of time and perception.

However, this is the case when there is no stimulation of the sensory systems at all. And it is not just lack of contact with people. Thus, we can avoid this by having other things to keep mind busy.

Long-term solicitude may often borne due to loneliness or reclusion  resulting from inability to establish relationships.

Furthermore, it might lead to clinical depression. Although some people do not react to it negatively.

Solicitude as a source of Enlightenment :

Others (e.g. monks) regard long-term solicitude as a means of spiritual enlightenment. Marooned people leaves in solicitude for years without any report of psychological symptoms afterwards.

Some psychological conditions such as schizophrenia and schizoid personality disorder are strongly linked to a tendency to seek solitude.

It is often considered a form of torture.

Emotional isolation is a state of isolation where one has a well-functioning social network  but still feels emotionally separated from others.

Researchers like Robert J. Coplan and Julie C. Bowker have rejected the notion that solitary practices and solicitude are inherently dysfunctional and undesirable.

In their 2013 book A Handbook of Solitude, the authors note how solicitude can allow for enhancements in self-esteem. It generates clarity and can be highly therapeutic.

FONG’S OPINION ON SOLICITUDE :

Fong’s chapter offers an alternative view on how solicitude is more than just a personal trajectory for one to take inventory on life.

It also yields a variety of important sociological cues that allow the protagonist to navigate through society. In the process, political prisoners in solitary confinement were examined to see how they concluded their views on society.

Thus Fong, Coplan, and Bowker conclude that a person’s experienced solicitude generates immanent and personal content as well as collective and sociological content, depending on context.

Psychological effects:

Solicitude: its merits and demerits/image: kalpatarurudra.org/jpg

Two types of effects:

There are both positive and negative psychological effects of solicitude. Much of the time, these effects and longevity are determined by the amount of time a person spends in isolation.

The positive effects can range anywhere from more freedom to increased spirituality, while the negative effects are socially depriving and may trigger the onset of mental illness.

While positive solicitude is often desired, negative solicitude is often involuntary or undesired at the time it occurs.

Positive effects of solicitude

Freedom is considered to be one of the benefits of solicitude. The constraints of others will not have any effect on a person who is spending time in solicitude.

Therefore the person are more latitude in their actions. With increased freedom, a person’s choices are less likely to be affected by exchanges with others.

A person’s creativity can be sparked when given freedom. Solicitude can increase freedom and freedom from distractions has the potential to spark creativity. Some psychologist  found that adolescents who cannot bear to be alone often stop enhancing creative talents.

Another proven benefit to time given in solicitude is the development of the self. When a person spends time in solitude from others, they may experience changes to their self-concept.

Therefore, this can also help a person to form or discover their identity without any outside distractions.

Solicitude also provides time for contemplation, growth in personal spirituality, and self-examination. In these situations, one can avoid loneliness. As long as the person in solitude knows that they have meaningful relations with others.

Negative effects of the solicitude

You might find out negative effects on prisoners. The behaviour of prisoners who spend extensive time in solitude may worsen. Solicitude can trigger physiological responses that increase health risks.

Negative effects of solicitude may also depend on age. Elementary school children who experience frequent solitude may react negatively. This is large because often, the child won’t spend time in solicitude at this age.

Solicitude in elementary-age children may occur when they are unsure of how to interact socially with others. So they prefer to stay alone. Ultimately, it causes shyness or social rejection.

While teenagers are more likely to feel lonely or unhappy when not around others. They are also more likely to have a more enjoyable experience with others if they have had time alone first.

However, teenagers who frequently spend time alone do not have as good a global adjustment as those who balance their time of solitude with their social time.

Other uses of solicitude: its merits and demerits

As pleasure :

Solicitude: its merits and demerits : image: http://kalpatarurudra.org/jpg

Howard Pyle’s 19th-century illustration of a marooned pirate.

Solicitude does not necessarily entail feelings of loneliness. And it may be one’s the sole source of genuine pleasure for those who choose it with deliberate intent.

Hence, Some individuals seek solitude for discovering a more meaningful and vital existence. For example, in religious contexts, some saints preferred silence and found immense pleasure in their perceived uniformity with God.

So, Solicitude is a state that allowing us to “be alone with ourselves and with God, to put ourselves in listening to his will, but also of what moves in our hearts. Gradually it purifies our relationships.

As a result, Solicitude and silence thus become spaces inhabited by God. And it gives the ability to recover ourselves and grow in humanity.”

Buddha and Solicitude:

The Buddha attained enlightenment through the uses of meditation. It deprived of sensory input, bodily necessities, and external desires, including social interaction.

So the context of solitude is the attainment of pleasure from within. But this does not necessitate complete detachment from the external world.

Solicitude: its merits and demerits : image: http://kalpatarurudra.org/jpg

Solitude and the Sea,

This is well demonstrated in the writings of Edward Abbey with particular regard to Solitaire  where solicitude focused only on isolation from other people allows for a more complete connection to the external world.

As in the absence of human interaction the natural world itself takes on the role of the companion. In this context, the individual seeking solitude does so not strictly for personal gain or introspection. This is often an unavoidable outcome.

In psychology, introverted individuals may require spending time away from people to recharge. Those who are simply socially apathetic might find it a pleasurable environment.

The Solicitude As punishment:

Isolation in the form of solicitude confinement is a punishment or precaution used in many countries throughout the world for prisoners accused of serious crimes.

Researchers found that solitary confinement does not deter inmates from committing further violence in prison.

As treatment :

Psychiatry institutions may institute full or partial isolation for certain patients.

Siddhartha Gautam & His Philosophy

Siddhartha Gautam/image:kalpatarurudra.org/jpg

Today, we observe as a very sacred and holy day as Bhagavan Buddha came to this world and also attained salvation or Buddhattwa in this very day. That’s why, it is called as Buddha Purnima. Siddhartha Gautam was born around BC 563. His father, Suddhodan was a king of Shakkya.

While Maya Devi, mother of Siddhrtha, was going to her parents home, during this time on the way at Lumbini near to Kapilbastu she gave birth to Siddhartha . Maya Devi died one week after giving birth. Siddhartha brought up in his maternal aunt, Gautomi.

We know about how did Siddhartha transformed into Buddha and took renunciation. On this auspicious day, we might remember him when we are going through pandemic situations. It’s very important to follow the instructions of Buddha which he gave for the future generations.

SIDDHARTHA GAUTAM & HIS PHILOSOPHY/The Repentance in life/kalpatarurudra.org

Virtues:
There are some virtues in Buddhism. These virtues or qualities are
considered as crucial for the path to better rebirths or enlightenment.

These are presenting or
liberality (dāna-śῑla; sharing without clinging) and the four unlimited virtues (Brahmavihāras) of
maître or benevolence, karuņā or compassion, mūditā or sympathetic joy.

Value emphasis:

Values exist in both the Theravādin Buddhism and Mahāyāna Buddhism and five
offences are judged especially grave. They prohibit killing one‘s mother, father an Arhat, a
Buddha, or harming the community of monks.

In addition to the virtues of compassionate
equanimity, therefore, one begins to discern a more concretely expressed Buddhistic ethos of
non-injury (ahiṁsa).

In humanistic terms and at a glance, therefore, common Buddhist morality
does not seen to offer moral precepts, virtues or value emphasis inferior to other religious and
human traditions.

The four Noble Truths:

The last factor in the fourfold Noble Truth, which concern the means for attaining
enlightenment is the practice of the eightfold path which involves qualities of correct seeing, and
entails correct doing.

There are:
i) Faith (samyag

ii)
Virtues like liberality (giving dāna) and four unlimited virtues i.e. brahmavihāras of
compassionate equanimity.
iii)
Value emphasis such as caste equality; and lastly
iv)
The fourth Noble Truth i.e. means for attaining enlightment.

God is everywhere from Braahma to tiny insect:

In Buddhism, not only man, even the neglected animals also get a
prestigious position. It is reflected in the Jātaka tales where Buddha took birth again and again in
the form of deer, peacock, cow etc. and with the virtue of ten commandants or divine rules (i.e.
Dāna, Śῑla, Karma, Niskarma, Prajña, Virya, Satya, Adhisthāna, Maitrῑ, Upekṣa), he liberated
himself.

The Theravādins believed that the five precepts were externally binding on everyone. But
only the saint could really observe them.

The other five precepts are covetousness, slander, wrong views, hatred or insult, and idle
talking. All those groups of Śῑlas are called Dasa-śῑla (ten precepts) from humanist, social and
activist viewpoints all of these norms may seem self-centred or negative unless they are rectified.

THE HAPPINESS

The First Love Of Rabindranath Thakur

First love of Gurudev Rabindranath/image:kalpatarurudra.org

Gurudev Rabindranath is one of the prolific and versatile author and poet not only in Asia but throughout the world too. We call him” Viswakabi “or World-Poet. The first love of Rabindranath Thakur is undoubtedly to nature, but his first love to a woman is a girl of Maharashtra. Therefore, it is an interesting subject that will be discussed here heading the title ” the first love of Rabindranath Thakur”.

Although he was a lover of nature and humanity. Both nature and human life is interlinked in his literature. During his childhood days, he was governed by the servants. Even he couldn’t go out alone. So, he used to notice the beauty of nature through his windows. He tried to manifest this relationship in different forms.

But after all, he was a human being. He had a personal life. Naturally, like others, love came into his life. Today we will talk about the first love of Rabindranath Thakur.

• RABINDRANATH AND HIS FAMILY:THE STORY OF THAKURBADI

• Rabindranath Thakur had a strong and beautiful physique. He brought up in an aristocratic and well-to-do family of Jorasanko. He was not interested in traditional education. He attended very less time in school than to study in home.

Kadambaridevi, his sister- in- law, (wife of his elder brother, Jotirindranath Thakur who was also a great artist,) was an intimate companion to Tagore in his boyhood. She was 2/3 years older than Rabindranath. He loved to stay in the natural surroundings. What he gathered from the nature, dipicted all these feelings in poetry.

• Today I will discuss here about his personal life and his first love to a lady in his youth. Probably it was his first love as a girl friend who was not a Bengali. She was a Maharashtrian. We know that the poet last love was with a foreign lady, Victoria Ocampo.

• Like common people, the genius of this world has had love affairs. And Rabindranath was not aloof from it. During his long tenure as a fabulous writer and activists, he came close to various women.

He lost his wife, Mrinalini in immature time when he was in the middle of the forties. So he was alone.

• Love Of Great People: First love of Rabindranah Thakur:

• However, some others great geniuses of the World were also addicted to love. Although it is their personal matter, but its repurcation has been shadowed in their creativities.

• Love is not exclusively for common people, it’s also a inner characteristics of human beings. Hence, we see that many great geniuses are involved in romantic love affair.

• So it’s not a matter of wonder if any great man be involved in love affair. There are so many such love story in the history of mankind.

• Mapassan, the great short story writer of the world, or Flabeyer who became famous writing ” Mother Boverie” – they have the same story of love affair like Rabindranath. ‘Mai’, the mother of Mopanssa, was the lover of Flabeyer.

• On the other side, Moppanssa, the disciple of Flabeyer, used to spend day after day in red light area.

• Balzac, one of the eminent writer and novelist, used to change lady lovers like dress changing. Even these ladies were married. In this regard, he was a Bohemian, never contented in a fixed lady.

• Another world distinguished man, Russo who had been attracted by the beautiful ladies and used to spend time with them. His writing ” Social Contract” became famous and he got worldwide fame.

• But his life was somewhat strange and restless. He lived with a lady like a husband-wife under the roof of a home who was a daughter of his maid Servent. And they had four children.

• All that great men involved with their lovers before and after they got familiar. Tagore’s love life was not like them. He was not Bohemian like them. His first love was with Anna, a Maharashtrian girl. Tagore named her “Nalini”. Though Anna requested him to let her give a name.

• Devendranath Tagore, father of Rabindrabath was thoughtful about his younger son’s education. His second son, Satendranath was then an ICS officer ( first ICS in India) and working as a Magistrate in Ammedabad.

• Satendranath Thakur’s decision about Rabindranath’s Education:

• Being learnt about his brother’s education, he advised to send him in England to study Barrister. Devendranath agreed. So the preparation started. Satendranath brought Rabindranath to his service place. He stayed in a old Palace to teach him modern culture and English speaking.

THE FIRST LOVE OF RABINDRANATH TAGORE :

After a few days, Satendranath Thakur

sent him to his friend’s house in Bombay( Now Mumbai). His friend, Dr. Pandurangak Turkhad was a modern man who introduced Parthana Samaj. It was like Brahma Samaj. Both were refined sect of Hindu religion.

Like Devendranath, he was also a reformist of Maharashtrian society. Here young Rabindranath came near to his first lover, Annapurna or Anna.

Tagore was so impressed with her love that he couldn’t forget her. He wrote a poem by imagining her love.

Oh! Nalini open your eyes
Is sleep still to abandon its ply
See standing at your door
The rising sun’s first score
Hearing my morning song
See all around the shroud of sleep has gone.”

—the English translation of an excerpt from Tagore’s poem Probhati.

Fondly referred to as  “Gurudev” or “Viswakabi” or ‘Kobiguru’, poet laureate and versatile genius Rabindranath Tagore lives on through his timeless literary work.

But for many, his enduring legacy is nowhere better expressed than in his original songs and poems. There are over 2500 songs (lyrics) and over 4000 poems respectively.

His songs can melting down our hearts. We sing Tagore songs in living rooms, during festivals, and at the turn of every season. Rabindra Sangeet is rich repertoire includes some outstanding odes to love.

How much does it impact in listeners mind? Let’s learn the speech of Anna. Anna ( Nalini) told the poet, ” Oh dear Poet, I can survive from the death bed listening your song.

• His immortal Songs:

• Let’s take an example of his song . “Bhaalobese sokhi, nibhrite jatane Amar naamti rekho tomar moner mondire” — “Do inscribe my name, my darling, with utmost care and affection, in the temple of your soul.”

• So it’s not very surprising that the Bengali icon is often familiar with the ‘poet of romance’. However, few know the story of Tagore’s love for Annapurna Turkhad of Bombay.

As a 17-year-old, the future Nobel laureate was in deep love with the young Marathi girl. Therefore, he would go on to immortalise her in many of his poems.

• Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra’s production has picturized this little known romance in Hindi.

We portrayed before how and when poet came close to Anna, the first woman he loved.

• Here’s the story of Annapurna Turkhad. This is the girl Tagore fondly called ‘Nalini’.

Image:Annapurna Turkhad/ The first love of Rabindranath Thakur/ kalpatarurudra.org

Image: kalpatarurudra.org

Anna or Annabai, or Annapurna was her call name. Belonging to a highly educated family, and being educated in Europe, she was very modern.

As such, her father’s circle of friends were reformists and eminent citizens from across the country.

• Hoping that his younger brother’s English would improve if he stayed with the anglicised Turkhund family, Satyendranath convinced 17-year-old Tagore to stay with the Turkhud family. Debendranath agreed.

It was before his first voyage to Britain in 1878 (where he was going to pursue further studies). I think it was to pursue Ber-at-law.

• So, for two months in mid-1878, a teenaged Tagore lived at Atmaram’s household. He used to have  lessons in spoken English from Anna.

• She was about three years elder to Rabindranath. Annapurna had just returned from England and was comfortably conversant with the English language.

The first love of Rabindranath Thakur / Image:http://kalpatarurudra.org/jpg

• We believe that they have a mutual attraction during these days. Krishna Kripalini, the biographer of Tagore, described vividly their platonic relationship in his book Tagore —A Life.

• According to this book, as affection bloomed between them, Tagore gave Anna the nickname ‘Nalini’. And even inspiring by her he wrote several poems.

However, the youthful love did not transform into a future together. The destiny was willing otherwise.

Tagore stayed two-month in Bombay. Therefore, he bid adieu to Anna. Because he departed for England on a ship.

• NEW LIFE OF ANNA :

• Two years later, Annapurna married Harold Little dale. He was a Scottish. Besides, he was the vice-principal of Baroda High School and College. Subsequently, the couple left India for England and settled in Edinburgh.

But unfortunately, Annapurna died in relative obscurity in 1891. She was then only 33 years old.

• Interestingly, evidence suggests that both Annapurna and her father, Dr Pandurang decided their marriage between Tagore and Annapurna.
.. It seems clear that Atmaram had agreed but Debendranath (Tagore’s father) rejected it. Because his son was very young and Annapurna was older than his son.

• According to the book The Myriad Minded Man (writers:  Krishna Dutta and W. Andrew Robinson), Atmaram and Annapurna travelled to Calcutta in early 1879. And they paid a visit to Debendranath at Jorasanko Thakur Bari, the family residence of the Tagores.

• What passed between them remains shrouded in mystery. But the authors believe that Debendranath mooted and rejected this negotiation.

Kalpatarurudra.org

• However, the fact is that Annapurna continued to use ‘Nalini’ as her literary moniker. And she named one of her nephews as Rabindranath.

• So it shows that it was not just a momentary flirtation for the two. The first love of Rabindranath Thakur too continued to write both poetry and prose.

Rabindranath composed poetry by the name of Nalini. Therefore, he used it in the most endearing of manners.

• Tagore never forgot about Annapurna. Naturally, he would often reminisce about her in his old age. He recalls that ‘Nalini’ had once asked him,

” Why do you have a beard hiding in outline of your face?”

The Nobel laureate remarked this at the age of 80,

“Everyone knows that I have not followed that advice. But she herself did not live to see my disobedience proclaimed upon my face.”

Thus Rabindranath and Anna’s first love became immortal.

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS POST… ‘

RAJA YOGA AS DEFINED BY SWAMI VIVEKANANDA/kalpatarurudra.org

What is Hypertension?

Hypertension is also known as high blood pressure. Generally in a normal and healthy person, the blood pressure remains 120 systolic and 80 diastolic. But when there are abnormalities in the arteries of the circulatory system, the systolic pressure rises very high and at times, the diastolic also rises.

Due to the narrowness in the arteries the pressure may rise and the heart has to work harder for pushing the blood through them and as a result of which there is high blood pressure, and in medical terms this is called ‘hypertension’.

Symptoms of Hypertension:

Though it’s normal for the blood pressure to rise high during excitement and at certain emotional moments, it goes down shortly. So ,such rises do not cause any harmful effects. But when blood pressure continues to remain excessively high it causes various disorders, such as lack of strength, tiredness, headache, and at times, difficulty in breathing, bad temper, visionary troubles, and coldness in the hands and feet.

Besides, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, vision problems, chest pain, irregular heartbeat and blood in the urine all are symptoms of hypertension. However, many cases of high blood pressure are asymptomatic. This is why periodic blood pressure screening are recommended.

Causes If Hypertension:

The most common causes of hypertension include smoking, obesity or being overweight, diabetes, having a sedentary lifestyle, lack of physical activity, high salt consumption, too much alcohol intake, insufficient consumption of calcium, potassium or magnesium, a deficiency in vitamin D, stress, ageing, chronic kidney disease and adrenal and thyroid conditions or tumours. Some individual may also be genetically predisposed to hypertension. Myself is an instance of genetically predisposed to hypertension. Both my parents were having patients with hypertension. So we have to carry it.

The Best Way to Prevent Hypertension:

The best way to get rid of the disease is to eat healthy and get exercise. Reduction of stress, anxiety, healthy lifestyle, avoid smoking, less salt and alcohol intake are also helpful ways to prevent hypertension.

But regular yoga practice is the most effective way to be kept away from hypertension. In the first phase, we can practice only Shava Asana and twice or thrice daily. Only Shava Asana can cure you of hypertension.

Proper practise of this Asana for two to three weeks brings a remarkable good effect on the patient of heart ailments and of hypertension. It corrects the disorders of the circulatory system by relaxing the nerves and internal organs. Because of normalizing and relaxing effects on the arteries, hypertension is reduced and gradually it comes in a normal position.

MP Mohua Moitra’s Article in New York Times Magazine

Dr Sushil Rudra

Durgapur, West Bengal

13.05.2021

Recently MP Mohua Moitra wrote and published in New York Times Magazine by the title ” I know what it takes to defeat Narendra Modi”. Obviously, the writer of this article Mahua Moitra , is an Indian MP from West Bengal Krishnanagar Constituency. The content of the article is about the West Bengal election results in which Mamata Banerjee’s TMC defeated Bharatiya Janata Party .

Although, individually she failed to win in the battle at Nandigram, Mednipur against Bhumiputra(locale Son) Subhendu Adhikari, who is now main opposition leader in West Bengal legislative councils. TMC achieved massive majority of 212 seats out of 292 ( 2 seats in Murshidabad were not in the game because of sudden death of two contestants due to pandemic Covid.)

However, TMC formed a government. Previously Mamata Banerjee took oath of as Chief Minister of West Bengal. And after two days she selected others Ministers of her caninet from the elected MLA’s. Various ministries had been distributed to the veteran leaders of her party though a lot of them are under CBI investigation of Sarada Narada and Rose Valley money laundering case. Some are convicted in corruption. Besides, she selected from some new faces who are given ministry due to their repeated success in the election and efficiency in party activities . And all the Ministers took oath accordingly in a very tiny program through Hon’ble Governor, Dhankar.

By his addressing, Governor emphasised to take bold steps on the issue of present disastrous pandemic situations and post-election vandalism and bloody games between two parties.

Mainly they are goons of the ruling party. They are manhandling and making violence everyday against the BJP supporters during night. Even some women were maltreated and also molested by the goons. Somewhere it is controlled by the administration, somewhere not.

So, being a representative of the citizens Mahua should look after this situation not criticising Prime Minister. MP, Mahua Maitra is an educated woman and bagged her financial management degree from foreign University and there she served in a big financial company as an administrator .

Therefore, we expect from Mahua about serious journalism where she remarks about Hon’ble Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s dignity. And She has compared the West Bengal legislative election – battle in between Prime Minister and Mamata Banerjee.

But very sorry to say that it’s not tome to criticise. It’s a crucial time for the country as 2nd wave of Corona Virus spreading stupendously. About 4 lakhs peoples are affected. There is neither adequate corona hospitals, beds, oxigens and others amenities, nor sufficient Doctors and paramedics. Besides, vaccines are inadequate as per consumers.

Hence, both the Central and state governments and their hands( MP, MLA, Others representatives should come forward to fight against Pandemic. It’s not the time to criticize each other. A responsible public representative who is elected by the people, ought to take responsibility on his or her shoulder in this horrifying situation.

Firstly, they are enjoying various opportunities from air travel fair to data recharge bills and an enormous flats or salary which are provided through public money.

Therefore, we can expect from them in return some sympathy as well as public works. We, the common people, day after day , waiting in the big line at the hospital compound for vaccination. But we are not given due to shortage of it. There is no discipline in distributing the vaccines.

So, under this situation, they should present there to manage all these haphazard activities. Dear Madam, 49 per cent votes you have achieved in this election and won, but other 39 per cent (of BJP )voters need comforts and a sound sleep too. You should go there to neutralize and compensate for the mis- deed made by your party goons where the 39 per cent of voters not protected. They are also citizens of Bengal, they’re your brothers and sisters.

Not thinking or not being worried about defeating Modiji or his party, a real leader should stand by the people who are in distress, covid – affected , politically – victimised or affected people. It’s not the time to enjoy defeating Modiji, it is time for defeating Corona. Sadly, Mohua is not worried about it. She should help the distressed.

Moreover, Mohua wrote ” It took a catastrophic pandemic for even Mr. Modi’s supporters to see they need oxygen cylinder more than they need a Hindu state”.

Here we feel that MP Madam is not aware of the situation in her state where Hindus are not safe, where ruling party leaders are wanting to make four Pakistan here in India. Why are you silent then? Should you not take steps in your party line calling this party leader of Birbhum and inquired about why he spoke such anti – India speech! But none of them came forward to protest against it.

Not only MP Mohua, but even Bengal intellectuals are not interested to discuss it. They are afraid of saying anything in regards to this topic. Hindus must not be religion-addicted, though Muslims can do anything – it is their opinions. Here in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee got the victory by doing appeasement of minorities. Is it not polarisation to them? So, Mohua Moitra should be critical of herself than of Prime Minister.

She wrote: Prime Minister is not serious in the battle against the pandemic. He is futile to manage this pandemic situations. He is not supplying vaccines, oxygen cylinders, and so on. Even her commander-in -chief, Mamata Didi is always asking for the same demands to Prime Minister.

But it’s true that India is a vast populated country. Initially peoples were reluctant to have it. Some 45 thousands doses of vaccines has gone ineffective and lost. Sufficient production is highly needed. Central Government and the companies are trying to raise productions. Hope within few months this vaccine crisis will be subsided.

So, in this rigorous pandemic situation, both the Central and state governments should come together to fight against this battle. It’s not time to debate ‘ours’ and ‘yours’.

In addition, Mohua, in her article, repeatedly wrote about how the Bengal elections 2021 have demonstrated BJP is not invincible. Madam Moitra, you know perhaps economics and finance, but not literate in political history. Nothing invincible in any field, even not in politics. Yes, you need to notice BJP lost many seats marginally. At least 40 to 50 seats they didn’t capture due to 500 to 1000/ 2000 votes. So, there was a 50 – 50 chances to win for both parties. Mamata Banerjee has played minority cards with the aid of her royal soldier, Firhad Hakim. Is it not appeasement?

¶ Self Assessment: An article by MP Mohua Moitra

Hence, Mohua and her regiment should be critical about it. No party is invincible. Once the Left government practised the same strategy, their attitudes and egos grew to like this ruling party but failed to achieve power. They were not invincible. The left is now under the grave.

So, should take lessons from the history. Mind that TMC is not invincible. Your leader, Kunal, a corrupted person, went to jail, today speaking in media with rude language to Governor, Dhankar as a Dalal’ ( broker). What a shame! We know he is only 12 pass man having no culture and etiquette. Don’t know how to talk with veteran and honourable man like Governor. But this kind of TMC leaders one day might cause of ruins. Be cautious!

¶ An Article By MP Mohua Moitra :

Mohua further expressed her views on Bengali culture and complained against the Prime Minister about his addressing to Mamata as “Didi O Didi” during his campaign in West Bengal. In her words ” the tone and phrase were ominously close to what a neighbourhood catcaller may call out to girls walking past”.

Actually, ” Didi” is a Bengali word for calling sister. He used this addresses, not as a catcalling. Perhaps there was a wit or humour in this calling. But remember please, the addressing to Prime Minister and other Minister as “Bahiragata”, Rakkhas, Dakat, Vorgi, Danab and so on like this was not proper as per Bengali cultures. Why she used these rough words in public gatherings. Besides, numerous girls and women of Bengal are outraged by the neighbourhood goon. They are also Bengal’s sisters. Let’s stand beside them.

Violence is not Bengali culture. Post-election violence which is going on here should not be indulged. Out of 39 per cent of voters probably might come to you, if they get respect. So don’t feel hostility toward these opposition voters. They are also Narayan. Might they vote in favour of you in the coming election.

It’s in broad daylight that most of your colleagues are corrupted. So It is very needed for the sanctification of your leaders. During the last 10 years of rulings, your party members and leaders managed plenty of Bank Balance. Most of the leaders are crorepatis. They are very solvent and accustomed to spending luxurious lifestyles having 3/4 modern cars like Scorpio and BMW. One Minister, Sujit Ghosh, only 8 class passed whose bank balance is 17 cores having three precious personal cars. We know not how they managed it.

Firhad Hakim is another person. He declared his Bank balance which is near to Sujit. I am not saying that other party’s leaders are honest. But they’re not in the ruling party. So Madam, please look into these flaws of your brigade.

Above all, Our Bengal is an underdeveloped state. We are lagging in Industry, even neither we have small industries nor startups. Unemployment is a mammoth issue. Now we’re in the tremendous situation due to Covid 2nd waves.

So Madam, Don’t malign the fact. Because It is time to serve, not of politics. Helping distressed in crisis is to serve God. So keep it up.

INTRO : The Story Of Thakurbadi/Tagore’s house

Today, in this post, I will look into the Thakurbadi/ Tagore’s house. The great poet of India, Rabindranath Tagore in one of his poems, ” Janmokatha”( the story of birth ) longs to know about his birth story.

As a child, he asked his mother where he came from, and his mother answered the question of her child. Like the poet, we are also eager to know how and where he was born in.

Here, on his birthday anniversary, we have to look back to the story of Thakurbadi/ Tagore’s house, his birthplace where he was upbringing, playing with friends and brothers, and doing other activities.

2. Debendranath Tagore : Father of the great poet & the story of Thakurbadi / Tagore’s house

Debendranath Tagore had fifteen siblings. He was not a businessman like his father.

Rabindranath was fourteenth out of fifteen. His birthplace is in Joresanko, Kolkata. Debendranath was serene and pious. He became a member of Brahma Samaj.

Moreover, he was wealthy and prosperous as his father managed to establish enormous Zamindari. Rabindranath’s grandfather, Dwarakanath was an eminent businessman.

Initially, one of Rabindranath Tagore’s forefathers, Nilmoni Thakur established here in Calcutta at first being separated from his brother. His luck might favour him.

But his succession, Dwarakanath by his intelligence, achieved massive wealth and properties.

• GRANDFATHER DWARAKANATH : The Story Of Thakurbadi/Tagore’s House

Dwarakanath built a mansion just beside this house. His wife was a follower of Vaisnabism and worshipped Lord Krishna. So she did not like foreign culture and non – veg.

Naturally, Dwarakanath separately built this mansion where he arranged modern furniture. English officials and their families used to attend their parties.

So the landlord used to arrange various drinks and other precious menus for their dinner. Here children and women of the house were not allowed to participate.

3. Prince Dwarakanath Tagore, And His Wife (grandfather of R N Tagore )

Prince Dwaraknath Tagore ( Grandfather of Rabindranath ) image: kalpatarurudra.org/jpg / The story of Thakurbari( Tagore House

No, I won’t discuss only the poet’s grandfather. We shall try to depict here the story of his forefathers and their whereabouts.

Jagannath Kusari was the forefather of Rabindranath who married the daughter of Shukdev Raychoudhury. He was a Pirali Brahmin.

Therefore, Jagannath lived in the village of his father -in -law at Dakkhindihi ( Khulna, Bangladesh). As he married in Pirali family, he lived as an outcast.

It’s the era of the Turkish and Pathan rulers. People who cain me close contact with the rules were treated as an outcast. Therefore, the Raychoudhury family had to bear such stigma.

4. Glimpses of Tagore’s forefathers: From Khulna to Calcutta

However, Some generations after Jagannath, a dispute had raised between Panchanan and his uncle’s family and they left the village by boat and reached to Kolkata ( then Calcutta).

It was British period. So there was no problem for the livelihood. English businessmen started Internationally export and import businesses.

Then Kolkata was a shopping centre. Village Gabindapur and two other villages turned into Kolkata shopping town . Kushari family settled in Gobindapur.

However, there dwelled untouchable Hindus – (depressed class among the Hindus). Most of the households were very poor. Not a single Brahmin family lived there. So the neighbours became delighted having them.

So, the most important matter is this, when they were outcastes in Khulna, here in Calcutta they were regarded as priests, even the honour of being Brahmin. At that time common people honoured Brahmins as God. They called them “Thakur Mashai” ( priest).

Panchanan extended his earning through the service in the Ship company. The English merchants, and others workers called him Thakur. But they couldn’t pronounce Thakur. So, they pronounced “Tagore”.

From then they were called as Tagore as their title. The title “Kushari” ultimately had changed to Tagore or Thakur. They started writing Thakur or Tagore henceforth.

5. Jorasanko & Pathuriaghat : The story of Thakurbari

It’s almost hundred years ago of Rabindranath’s birth, Neelmani engaged in a service in revenue department of Odisha Collectory in 1765.

At that time East India Company got Deuwani in Bengal. As a result, Neelmani managed a lot of wealth.

Hence, The story of Thakurbadi is amazing. Panchanan had a son. Jayram was his name. He was also a businessman and became wealthy and affluent.

Other than that, he was also a surveyor of a British Company. He had four sons. Amongst them, Nilmani and Darpanarayan were the ancestors of Rabindranath.

Nilmoni lived in Jorasanko and Darpanarayan settled at Pathuriaghata in old Calcutta.

Darpanarayan was not also an idle man. He too earned massively. Both the brothers purchased a land in Pathuriaghata and built a mansion.

Money begets money. This saying of sages took place in the family. Their relations were strained. Ultimately, they’re separated.

Neelmani handed over the mansion of Pathuriaghata and purchased a land in the east side of Chitpur near Jorasanko and constructed another building. That time it was Mechobazar by name. Later, its name had been changed to Jorasanko.

6. Dwarakanath : The Prince & Bengali Culture :The story of Thakurbari

Tagore’s grandfather, Dwarakanath was born in this family. From 1794 to 1846 – only 52 years span of his life, Dwarakanath gained a massive properties and wealth.

Since his lifetime, the Tagore’s family not only enriched with affluent of money and lands, they achieved great honour and respect too.

• However, Dwarakanath was an eminent businessman of contemporary Calcutta. He also started a shipping business. Initially, he got success in this new business. Probably he was the pioneer in India in connection with this business. Later Jotirindranath Thakur started this business but failed to manage this.

Besides, he was highly educated, and a distinguished intellectual of this time. Both natives and Englishman used to respect him. Undoubtedly, this story of Thakurbadi/Tagore’s house is most interesting.

• Thirdly, Dwaraknath Tagore dedicated his life to the upliftment of Calcutta city and its citizens. For this purpose, he had donated and endorsed a lot of his earnings.

• Fourthly, he travelled to foreign countries. The royal families of the Western world respected him with high esteem. And he was conferred by the title of the Prince Dwaraknath. He had also donated there.

Raja Rammahan Ray was his best friend. He did neither give up Indian cultures, not the practice of Hinduism, but in need, he used to practice English fashion. Although he never put on foreign dresses.

Rabindranath Tagore As a Doctor/ image:kalpatarurudra.org/jpg

Rabindranath is a great Bengali poet and writer. He was born on 9 May ( 25 Baishakh ). So we can celebrate his birthday by remembering his talents in the many fields of our life.

We know all about his success in enriching our Indian literature. But we know not about his success in alternative medicine practitioner.

Perhaps my readers will be surprised to know about his popularity in this field. So keep patience right now and read this article. I will discuss here on Rabindranath Tagore as a Doctor.

RABINDRANATH TAGORE AS A DOCTOR : ALT. MED. PRACTITIONER IN PARASYA:

The Poet went to Parasya. He was conferred ” Doctorate” there. Hence, the local people thought that he is a Doctor and came to meet him for diagnosis. Gradually Tagore had to face a lot of patients. But he was not unwilling to diagnose them

However, Tagore was an expert in alternative medicine, mainly Homoeopathy and Biochemic. Eventually, Tagore diagnosed them and gave them Homoeopathic medicines which he had always kept in a little box.

Rabindranath in his writing Table, used to decorate with some books both Susler and Handyman or other writer’s books and Homeo – box. So anyone who came to him and asked for medicine, Tagore seriously heard all the symptoms and gave them medicine.

During his early years, he used to practice Homeopathy which is a science and also philosophy, but later he practised Bio- Chemic as it is pure science. Therefore, like an expert Doctor, he had diagnosed many patients and they became free from the disease.

Rabindranath didn’t go to any medical school. In addition, he had not been awarded any certification of medical science. Like other conventional education, he had been enriched with self-studies.

However, he was not alone to be self-help and self–educated Doctor, he influenced others to be educated in this subject.

In his time, modern medical science did not reach here. Now we’re getting these privileges near to the door, but in the nineteenth century, people didn’t avail of it.

That was the era of Indian medicine like Ayurved. Some used Homeo and Biochemic medicine.

Homeopathy vs Bio chemical salts and Rabindranath as a Doctor .

HIS STUDENTS IN THIS ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL SCIENCE:

Khitimohan Sen Shastri, one of his bosom friend, learnt Homoeopathic treatment from Rabindranath. Togore told him as a ” born- vaidya”.

Khitimohan was an ayurvedic Doctor, but being influenced by the poet, he used to practice homeopathy in Shantiniketan. Besides, Kanailal Choudhury and Dr. Sushil Kumar Bhanja also started practicing in Homoeopathy. Tagore called Sushil as “my Doctor”.

As a teacher, Tagore meticulously taught his medical students the ins and out of Homoeopathy treatment – how to diagnose and prescribe medication according to symptoms.Even he taught them about the duties and responsibilities of a Doctor.

As a Homeopath, Sushil Babu became famous at Bolpur. Tagore advised to Sushil Babu ‘ if you want to be a good Doctor, you have to study medical books and journals at least two hours after lunch.

Advice of the Poet to Teacher: Rabindranath Tagore as a Doctor. RABINDRANATH TAGORE IN DEPRESSION/ kalpatararudra.org

Tagore was very serious to establish a disease-free society. He never felt well when he learned the news of disease-affected people. He rushed to them, diagnosed and gave them medicines until their recovery.

He directed the teaching staff of Shantiniketan to keep medical kits with them when teachers used to come and salute Gurudev Rabindranath.

First of all, Teachers should be aware of the student’s health. They should asked to the students whether they’re ( students) physically well or not. If it’s found any student unwell, then teachers would diagnose and provide medicine to them. After that they would go to take classes.

Secondly, if anybody comes from outside for getting help for treatment, at first teacher looks after the patient, helping treatment, then the teacher would take the classes.

ALLOPATHY – HOMEOPATH& Rabindranath Tagore as a Doctor : http://www.kalpatarurudra.org/ Rabindrasangeet

The poet’s thought about this two systems of medicines we came to know from his statements and his activities. He emphasised Homeopathy more than Allopathy.

Therefore, he sent his son – in -law Satendranath to America for learning Homeopathy. Although Satendranath passed MB ( Allopathy), he was sent to learn Homoeopathic treatment.

The poet had a profound knowledge of modern physiology. We came to know this information from the former Doctor of Viswabharati, Dr Shachin Mukhopaddhay. Rabindranath. However, the poet used Bio – Chemic salt mostly in treatment.

He believed that Homeopathy might kill a person, but Allopathy kills a person both physically and economically.

WHY THE POET FAVOURED BIO – CHEMIC? NOT HOMEOPATHY?

He favoured Bio – chemic because it’s only 12 salts, but Homoeopathy is vast subject and it’s difficult to remember the names of the medicines and its functions.

Besides, if the symptoms don’t fit with the medicine, it will not act. That’s why he liked to use Bio – Chemic medicines.

Besides, another good side of this medicine is that the medicine don’t mar the patient. Or it has no side effects. Rather it has a good effect on health.

Moreover, it is easy to select the salts. Post 1930, unto his last he entirely depended on Bio – Chemic treatment. He purchased medicine from Medus Company ( German) of Kolkata.

THE BOOKS HE USED: RABINDRANATH TAGORE AS AN ALT. MED. PRACTITIONER :

Rabindranath used to follow these books:

1. Dr Suslar

2. Dr Caree

3. Dr Borick

4. Dr Chapman and the book of

5. Father Munar of Mangalore( Twelve Tissue Remedies.

According to him, Bio- chemistry means: Bios refers to Life, Chemistry is Rasayana. So, Bio – Chemistry means, ” Jiban Rasayan”.

Hope my readers can able to realise this article” Rabindranath Tagore as a Doctor. Please comment if it can satisfy you.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA: THE POET & HIS POEMS

¶¶ The hymns of Upanishads made a deep attraction to him . From his childhood he loved to recite poems. He read Milton’s “Paradise Lost ” at the very young age. Milton was his favorite poet . He recited the poem’s of Milton. Reading Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Byron , Shelly’s poems and literature was his favorite subjects. Once he wrote about the essence of Upanishads – ‘ There is no poetry marvelous like Upanishad. Even it is found in ‘Sanhita’ of Veda which is poetic. These writers of Veda and Upanishads are great poets . He thought that the internal truth can be had from the poems of this great saints of ancient India. How did he influenced with the hymns of Upanishads and became a poet , I shall extract a song from his collection: ” Lo! The sun is not, nor the comply moon, All light extinct; in the great void of space Floats shadow – like the image – universe. In the void of mind involute, there floats , The fleeting universe , rises and floats , Sinks again , ceaseless , in the current “I”.Slowly , slowly, the shadow – multitude. Entered the primal womb , and flowed ceaseless. The only current, the “I am ” , ” I am ” .Lo ! ‘Tis stopped , ev’n that current flows no more , Void merged into void – beyond speech and mind ! Whose heart understands , he verily does .

¶¶ It was written in Bengali, his mother tongue . and rendered from it . The name of the poem is ” The Hymn Of Samadhi ” . The content of the poem is highly philosophical which he felt during his deep meditation . The poet talk about the state of mind in its inner world when the activities of the external world is absolutely stopped. It is called samadhi in Hindu religion. But it is obviously an incredible poem like mantra having a significant meaning of higher state of the spiritual mind .¶¶ Swami Vivekananda was a fan of the epic and poetry of modern Bengali poet Mycheal Madhusudan Dutta . He was his ideal poet . Swami Ji was influenced by Upanishads and other ancient scriptures, by The great Poet Kalidas as well as Vaisnab Padabvali and modern English and Bengali poets . The Gita and Panchadoshi was also his favorite literature.

¶¶ He liked most the poetry of Wordsworth. One day in absence of English literature professor, the principal of this college Mr. William Heshty came to the class and discussed about the poem of Wordsworth . This was a poem of super natural phenomenon. In that context Mr . Hesty told that a man has been experienced such feelings who lived in Dakhineswar . Vivekananda, being inspired went there to meet him. This was first historical meeting with Sri Ramakrishna. He was also the poet of the poets .

¶¶ Vivekananda composed only 21 poems both in English and Sanskrit . He wrote a poem in Sanskrit. But his prose is very placid and also poetic. Specially his letters are full of poetic sublimity and rhetoric.

When Swami Vivekananda in the West

¶¶ Swami Vivekananda wrote his first poem in America before Chicago Religious Conference . He was then a unfamiliar monk . ‘O’r hill and dale and mountain range’ is his first poem (1893). Merry Luis Bark , The Western researcher of Swami Vivekananda, discovered this poem and published it in her book “Swami Vivekananda and the West: New Discovery “. Another researcher of Swami Vivekananda ,professor Shankari Prasad Basu translated this poem in Bengali (Sanman O Siddhi ). Swami Ji had to face a lot of obstacles and pain , but by virtue of struggle he overcame all these incidents and reached the ultimate goal ,the ‘perfection’ which is the destination of a religious monks. This is the content of the poem ” ‘O’r hill and dale and mountain’. He expressed the pain and suffering of a devotees ,though it was his personal feeling. He wrote : ” Like a child in the wildest forest lost I have cried and cried alone. Where art thou gone my God my love. The echo answered gone .” Next suddenly he got calling from the eternal ‘One’ who is our almighty Mother or Father. This feelings are as follows : ” Till one day midst my cries and groans Some one seemed calling me A gentle soft and soothing Voice. That said. ” my son ,” ” my son ” .

¶¶ ” The song of the free ” (1895) and ” The song of Sannyasn ” ( 15 the July ,1895) are the beautiful poems composed by Swami Vivekananda which are undoubtedly the wealth of English literature. He was the follower of Vedanta. The great spiritual guru of India, Shankaracharya inspired him in course of his spiritual journey . He modernized it according to the time and space. And tried to connect with the life. Vedanta do not only effective in the secret of forest , it can also be effective in our daily life . Man can practice it scientifically in each and every activities of life. Without struggle you can achieve any great deed in life, or attain the goals of life . After untiring efforts and struggles the Truth can be had . The life of Sannyasin is not bed of roses . Swami Vivekananda had to face enormous troubles and pains to reach the platform of Chicago Religious conference. He wrote this poems seven days before the beginning of Parliament of Chicago. His dream was to attend the Parliament and it was going to be fulfilled. Despite all his sufferings he would have been achieved the goal which his Master , Sri Ramakrishna gave his shoulders that Naren will teach . In this poem it has been depicted . Besides , one can see God after mammoths struggling . Sorrows and sufferings are the companions of a devotee . But ultimately he will be illuminated. He will face the Truth, the eternal , infinite One “The Brahman” . The Brahman have no form , He is timeless and formless, but He is many – from Brahman to tiny insects. Again He is within us . It’s immortal. ” The cloud puts forth its deluge strength. when lightning cleaves its breast, when the soul in stirred to its inmost depth Great ones unfold their best . ” Let embrace the pain and suffering . It’s natural phenomenon in life. We have to fight against it . And after a stupendous suffering ,the the Truth reveals. ” Let eyes grow dim and heart grow faint And friendship fail and love betray , Let fate its hundred horrors send And clotted darkness block the way .” This way is tedious and full of sufferings, but gradually the faithful devotees though this course of journey must reach to Him . We then have to face to face and enlightened, illuminated. ” All natures wear one angry frown To crush you out… still know, my soul , you are divine, …..March on and on , Nor right nor left but to the goal ! ……………………………………………… The books do stop in wonder mute To tell my nature ; – I am he ! ” ‘Swo Aham’ or ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ , that means , I am Brahman! It is beyond time and space . The poet wrote : ” Before the Sun , the Moon , the Earth , Before the stars and comets free. Before e’ en time has had its birth I was, I am, and will be! I am beyond all sense, all thought, The witness of the Universe! “. The feelings of Shankarachriya and the feelings of Vivekananda are the same. It’s the feelings of Addwaitya. God is One. …………. ” Not two or many, It is bt one , And thus in me all ones Ihave , I can no hate , I can not shun My self from me –I can but love ! ”Posted on  by Sushil Rudra

● INTRO: SWAMI VIVEKANANDA THE POET & HIS POEMS

Swami Vivekananda is an Indian monk of Ramakrishna order. He preached Hinduism and Indian culture in American society in the last decade of nineteenth century . He was a great philosopher, stupendous orator, and modern thinker of the world. He is also a poet. His poems are the exposition of his heart.

● SWAMI VIVEKANANDA & OTHER INDIAN STARS :

He is the only man from India after Ram mohan Roy who tried to unfold the great Indian cultural heritage before the people of the West . To keep it mind , Rabindranath Tagore once told Romain Rolland:

“If you want to know India, Read Vivekananda.”

Sri Aurovindo’s remarks about Vivekananda is also significant. He told,

” The going forth of Vivekananda, marked out by the Master as the heroic Soul destined to take the World between his two hands and change it, was the first visible sign to the World, that India was awake not only to survive but to conquer. ”

¶¶ Swami Vivekananda was a great Saint and Philosopher. But we don’t know about another side of his personality ; he was a marvellous poet though he didn’t write more. He composed his poems in English language. Today I gonna to discuss about his poetic feelings in this blog.

¶¶ Obviously, Swami Vivekananda was not a poet like conventional way . He was a poet like an ancient saint. He felt the internal truth of the world through his inner eyes . Hence, this poet poet, in one sense, is the intense truth – seeker of the Universe.

WHO IS POET?

In true sense, the poet is also a Saint. He who notice the truth of the life and the world in his stream of consciousness and reveals it through his divine powers of imagination and magical poetic feelings ,actually he is poet . In that sense, Swami Vivekananda is called to be a poet . From Brahma to insects are the alter where almighty God lives . God is everywhere. He who feels it , he is poet . Swami Vivekananda is a poet in that sense.

• THE INFLUENCE OF ENGLISH & SANSKRIT POETS ON SWAMI

¶¶ Swami Vivekananda was a fan of the epic and poetry of modern Bengali poet Mycheal Madhusudan Dutta . He was his ideal poet . • THE SONG OF FREE & OTHER POEMS

WHAT IS VEDANTA ?

Vedanta do not only effective in the secret of forest , it can also be effective in our daily life . Man can practice it scientifically in each and every activities of life. So without struggle you can’t achieve any great deed in life, or attain the goals of life . After untiring efforts and struggles you can confront truth.

The life of Sannyasin is not bed of roses. He wrote in a poem in Bengali, যত বড়ো জানিবে হৃদয়/ তত দুঃখ জানিবে নিশ্চয় । / Jato Baro Janibe Hridoi/ Tato Dukkho Janibe Nishchai.(Eng. The more big is your heart, the more you are to face pain and suffering.

Swami Vivekananda had to face enormous troubles and pains to reach the platform of the Chicago Religious conference. He wrote the poems “Song of the Free ” and ” The Song of Sannyasin” seven days before the beginning of Parliament of Chicago.

Swami Vivekanandas’s dream was to attend the Parliament and to preach Aditya Vedanta in the West. Naturally, he tried his best to fulfil this duty.

Despite all his sufferings, he achieved the goal which his Master, Sri Ramakrishna gave his shoulders. Sri Ramkrishna, once told that Naren ( the call name of Vivekananda ) will teach.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA: AS IT’S PORTRAYED IN HIS LETTERS/kalpatarurudra.org

In this poem, the poet depicted this struggle, suffering and ultimately reaching the goal. Besides, one can see God after mammoths struggling. So, Sorrows and sufferings are the companions of a devotee. But ultimately he becomes illuminated.

So, He will face the Truth, the eternal, infinite One “The Brahman”. The Brahman have no form. He is timeless and formless. Again, He is many – from Brahman to tiny insects. But He is within us. It’s immortal. ”

Table of Contents :

1. Introduction

2. 2021 West Bengal Election analysis

3. Why BJP couldn’t have enjoy success in this Election?

4. Election Strategy of TMC & BJP

5. Finding some Fault behind the defeat of BJP

6. Conclusion:

1. Introduction: Not all sections of voters in West Bengal are truly appreciated the Assembly election result of 2021. It is fact, that TMC won the battle massively ‌more than they expected, but it didn’t satisfyed 39 per cent of the voters of Bengal. And Sonar Bangla dreams not came true. Who are they?

Obviously, they’re not Muslims voters. This election is different from all other previous election. Because this election took place in between Bharatiya‌ Janata Party and TMC. Others parties couldn’t put any impression amongst the voters. The main hindrance of Bharatia Janata Party is Muslim voters. They became united for their existence. They thought that Mamata is the savior. Why Sonar Bangla Dreams not come true – hope it is clear to all.

2. 2021 West Bengal Election Result Analysis :

Why they were rejected ? Why CPIM, Congress and Cleric party couldn’t get any positive feedback to be a major opposition party in the assembly elections? And also why sonar Bangla dreams not come true? All these questions arise in mind! We will try to find out answers about all these questions here.

In brief, we can say that Muslim voters were polarised in any way. So, unquestionably they didn’t support BJP, rather they favoured only Mamata as their saviour or Mother. That’s why even the Muslim votes of CPIM and Congress had gone to Mamata which she didn’t expect at all. Mamata becomes successful to manage these minority votes in favour of her behalf by repeatedly saying that if “foreign party” ( BJP) get the victory they would have been looted all your property, even your son’s and daughters. Most of the literate Hindu don’t like Mamata, her nephew and other corrupted leaders. She and her party’s members won this electorial battle due to this cause.

Minority votes of four districts ( Murshidabad, Malda, North 24 Pargana, South 24 Parganas, the most minorities areas) which are of Congress and CPM, totally gone to TMC. Kolkata didn’t favour BJP. There are causes behind it. I will discuss it later.

But, indeed, the BJP could not celebrate a landmark win over Banerjee. The party, which once boasted it would get 200 seats in a 294 seat assembly (elections were held for 292 seats), was striving to cross the halfway mark. Even hours before the start of counting, Union minister Babul Supriyo replied on Facebook that he was sure of winning when someone asked what would happen in the event of a defeat.

“I won’t lose, but even if I lose what you want from your heart I will go back to being a happy man because I heard what my conscience said and acted,” Babul said.

3. Why BJP Couldn’t Have Enjoy Success In This Election? And Why Sonar Bangla Dreams not Come true ?

It is now coming out that the BJP had little ground support and always looked to the skies for the big buck triumphs because it had PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the entire NDA cabinet backing the party. On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee campaigned mostly with a plastered leg on a wheelchair and picked up all the sentiments required to translate into votes.

1. Most of the BJP candidates are either new or not veteran like TMC commanders except Babul Suprio, Shamik Bhattacharya, Rahul Sinha. Rahul Sinha though veteran, but not popular.

2. Second cause is very sensitive that’s their face of the Chief Minister. BJP didn’t clear about it before the election. So it was very uncertain to the people who would be the Chief Minister of the BJP government. I think in future it will be maintained.

3. BJP President Dilip Ghosh no doubt is a good organizer, but he should be something polished in his utterance, especially when he is going to talk with the women of Bengal. He is a perfect man having no corruption or other bad habits. But Peoples of Bengal like to have an intellectual leader in this position.

4. The Trinamool Congress worked on the regional pride factor, BJP had none. Worse, again I am telling that the party could not even put forward a single name for the CM’s chair. There were intense speculations in the Indian Capital how four to six top BJP leaders were clamouring for the CM’s chair without realising they had virtually no political base in the state.

5. There were bickerings, serious bickerings throughout the campaign. What the leaders said was not exactly what the people believed,” said a BJP worker who did not want to be named. He said the party’s final tally of 83 was credible only because it’s the previous tally in the 2016 assembly elections was 3. Even 77 seats in the assembly will not change BJP’s fortunes in the state.

2021 Bengal Election: The great battle / kalpatarurudra.org

6. A reporter has described that it was like a single, fleet-footed Diego Maradona taking on a bunch of defenders near the penalty box.”The BJP often lampoons TMC, I am sure Didi will give them a befitting reply,” TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty once told this during an interview.
Modi’s remarks of Didi O Didi was unacceptable to women who threw everything behind Banerjee.

At a press conference on Sunday, May 2, 2021, Banerjee told correspondents that it was a “people’s victory”.

So, what went wrong with the BJP? The party could not handle Banerjee.

Banerjee, despite pressures and taunts, remained a thorn BJP could not handle. She made it clear to the masses in Bengal that regional aspirations cannot be steamrolled by a single ideology. She showed everyone why India is in urgent need of a leader who could take on the PM and his band of brothers every single day and demand accountability for leading the country into an abyss.

7. Mamata asked why the polls were extended for over a month and why there was such a massive deployment of Central forces. She also pointed out the slow procurement of vaccines by the Centre.

8. Too much Hindutwa, and Jai Shri Ram slogan might be the cause of fear to the Muslim community. And also a section of Hindu who trust in constitutional secularity did not like it. Although they’re mostly intellectual CPM & Congress Voters. But yes, Hindus of Village areas favoured BJP and the people who were affected by the CPIM and TMC rules, they gave their support to BJP. I think in future the Bharatiya Janata Party must maintain it.

9. BJP’s hop, leap and jump politics was like sending a blind elephant decreeing into the opposition without realising the ambushes of jungle warfare. The party said it understands Bengali culture but sent an insensitive person as Viswa Bharati’s vice-chancellor who disarrayed the show right from the word go. The news of his arrogance spread like wildfire. BJP lost the plot almost overnight.

10. The BJP tried hard to rope in former Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly, probably because it felt it had helped him become the BCCI president overnight. The move did not work. The party eventually got Mithun Chakraborty, a near leftover artist who made a mess of his appearance by saying he is a venomous King Cobra. He tried his best.

11. In Kolkata, BJP workers yelled Jai Shree Ram slogans at an event where both Modi and Banerjee were present to honour Netaji Subhas Bose on his birth anniversary. It was unnecessary. The BJP harped a lot on its founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee but did nothing to repair his home, or plans for a library and a study centre remained mostly in files.

“You cannot fight an election just because you have the PM and his cabinet on your side,” said Ashesh Sengupta, a senior writer who runs a conversational platform, Kathopokathon.

12. Mamata Banerjee persuaded her voters that compassion and empathy are her key qualities. Any politician who does not have these two qualities do not stand a chance. Banerjee in her rallies repeatedly talked about the decline of India’s democracy. It was like a mother explaining to her children that only she can guarantee peace by fighting the storm raging outside. But she only loves her power and her nephew.

13. The BJP had Modi and his trusted lieutenant, Amit Shah, on its side and also UP CM Yogi Adityanath . But no one was seen as the Pied Piper of Hamlin. They came, they saw and they left. They projected an imaginative show before people without valid documents will be shunted out of the state. The words consolidated the Muslim votes against the party. In repeated meetings, BJP leaders talked about their Sonar Bangla campaign or the promise to turn Bengal into an El Dorado but could not explain what it means.

The BJP leaders repeatedly said it will follow the Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas but could not earn the much needed vishwas of voters. They kept on wondering what would happen if TMC sweeps the show. No wonder they majorly walked into the Ma, Maati, Maanush camp.
It was clear to Bengal that BJP has come with a Big Brother attitude. But it has no interest to serve the state.

14. At the same time, Banerjee continued to talk about her small schemes in the countryside. It worked wonders with naive villagers and those in Tier II and Tier III towns. Mamata Banerjee proved once again she was a root woman and no Oxford-educated candidate or half-baked film stars could upset the TMC apple cart.

15. Time and again, top BJP leaders like Dilip Ghosh made disparaging remarks, triggering furore in the state. Ghosh wanted to change his rustic image and even started playing golf but continued to spew venom against people, especially women. Such was his arrogance that once a senior BJP leader messaged a journalist in Delhi, saying “Ghosh is like Dolce Gabbana (DG), one of its kind. He will not change.”

It was clear to Bengal that BJP has come with a Big Brother attitude. They have no interest to serve the state. And the fear of Ghosh as the Big Boss of the state was totally unfathomable to many in the state.

16. Worse, the bulk of the BJP half-Bengali language campaign revolved around anti-Mamata slander. Little did the party realise that Banerjee’s campaign of Banglar Meye (Bengal’s daughter) was a clever one as she planked herself as rget of outsiders. It helped the TMC pocket chunks of women’s votes. It was all about regional pride, a plank that had once helped Modi win several elections as the Gujarat CM. In short, Mamata Banerjee had no real opposition except the BJP’s big bag of resources and top leaders.

17. BJP’s inability to bring corruption cases in Bengal to a logical end also proved to be the party’s nemesis. Cases of Ponzi scheme corruption cut money scandals, coal scam and illegal cattle smuggling did not reach any logical conclusion. Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek openly challenged BJP to take action against him. The saffron brigade’s silence only bolstered the hopes of TMC supporters.
BJP could not celebrate a landmark win over Mamata.

18. The TMC consolidated the minority vote. it was a shame that the BJP could not consolidate the Hindu votes. The minority votes of the Left Front and Congress also went to TMC. It pushed the party to greater heights. The BJP had the momentum in Bengal since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Because it won a large number of Lok Sabha seats. But simply failed to tap the anti-incumbency sentiment against TMC supremo, given a sheer lack of organisation on the ground.

4. Election Strategy Of TMC & BJP and Why Sonar Bangla Dreams not come true?

In 2019, the BJP led in 121 assembly segments in Bengal. In 2021, the saffron brigade hoped the anti-incumbency factor would take it beyond 147. But it did not work. The party could just not encash the disillusioned many had with TMC and secondly, its worker strength in Bengal was not even a patch on its power in Uttar Pradesh, even MP or Jharkhand.

The BJP wanted to work on the gains of 2019 to wrest power in 2021. But they were not realising it took TMC 12 years to outplay the Left Front in 2011. Mamata Banerjee lost before two elections. The BJP thought of the Modi factor as the game-changer but it did not work.

5. Finding Some Fault Behind The Defeat Of BJP: Why Sonar Bangla dreams not come true?

∆∆ Three factors went against the BJP.

(a) The huge deployment of Central Forces sent a wrong signal to voters in the state that Modi, not the Election Commission, was taking the calls.

(b). Secondly, the injury sustained by Banerjee jee in Nandigram on March 10, worked to her advantage. She campaigned in a wheelchair and blamed the BJP. She regained her image of a fighting fit woman.

(c). Many in Bengal did not like Modi’s remarks of Didi O Didi, it was unacceptable to women who threw everything behind Banerjee.
So, what went wrong with the BJP? The party could not handle Agni Kannya of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee.

(d). And finally, the Sitalkuchi firing incident on the day of the fourth phase of polling when four Muslim boys were killed in firing by Central forces helped Banerjee to rally the Muslim voters. She suddenly emerged as the sole survivor of the minority community. The Congress’s tactical withdrawal from Malda, Murshidabad and Dinajpur, where it had won 26 seats in 2016, hinted towards a secret pact between 10, Janpath and TMC.

6. Conclusion : Why Sonar Bangla Dreams not come true ?

BJP continued to paint the big canvass without realising small issues often turn fortunes in elections. The party wanted a powerful challenger, always arrived with police, loads of drummers and the backing of a powerful cabinet. Bjp leaders 54always asked Hindus to unite to counter TMC’s Muslim appeasement.

But the party was pushed to the ground like a prostrate, disembowelled Gulliver by the TMC. It worked mainly on sentiments. Tart-tongued Banerjee, in her trademark white sari and sandals, has now emerged as a big opposition candidate with this victory.

Parliamentary election 2024 is not far away. From now on, BJP should make a strategy for the coming election considering all these loopholes so that they could have been enjoying a vibrant place in Bengal politics. And also will act like an Amritanjan ointment to the supporters of the BJP. Because they’re not okay in the post-election result situation. Mostly they are very very poor and Hindu minorities. Kolkata’s so-called Intellectuals and citizens don’t know the real situations of the Bengal villages, especially the villages of minority (Muslim)- solvent districts. TMC goons are continuing their bullying in and Killing games . So the play is going on.

BANKIM’S VIEW & PROBLEM:

Bankim Chatterjee, the great author and nationalist once sang ” Vande Mataram” and wrote “Anandamath” and other political essays to awakening Hindus. But very sorry to say that later he was marked and convicted by some Congress leaders as militant Hindu. The cause behind it, the then Muslim leaders did not grant” Vande Mataram” as it is imagined to be a Bharat Mata.

Hence we can say, we are not aware of us, our culture. Until and unless we become conscious about it, we never win.
